 How to use Screen Test to test screen and TV screen color

      A simple application that we can use from a web browser or download to be able to test the colors of our monitor and TV screens.

      It allows us to detect dead spots, check color gradients, and grayscale, among many other very useful things.

  Thanks to Screen Test, we can test the color of monitors and TV screens.  This tool performs screen tests including color gradients, grayscale, contrast of certain colors against different backgrounds, etc.

  How to use Screen Test to test screen color

  In order to use Monitor Test in a web browser, we will have to use the Monitor Test Smart-TV & Tablet web tool, since other tools require Flash.

  If you are using Windows, it is recommended to download the executable file, as it offers a variety of additional features.  If we stay in the browser, we will be limited to a few colors and gradients.

  We will find the list at the top.  We will scroll to view the browser or we can move the mouse to the top edge of the executable window.  Windows Tools also has a handy info box that will help guide us through the steps.

  It is possible to move the box, turn it on or off thanks to the menu.  We also find a button that allows us to switch to full screen mode.  Next, we will see a summary of all the tests that we can perform with this useful and interesting Windows tool.

  This test is ideal for checking if our monitor displays standard gray scale and contrast.

  It is possible to test color gradations across the spectrum to see if we can get true black, rich and clear colors on the screen.

  This test is very simple and allows us to test a white, black or colored square on any background we choose.  The controls in the lower left allow us to adjust the color of the box and the background.

  The function is perfect for detecting dead spots, we will be able to check the uniformity of the screen and find the backlight bleeding when using a black background.

  We can check if the text on the screen is still sharp while changing the text and background color.  You can also drag the text box across the screen.  This test works best on older monitors, those that use a VGA connection.
