Sony will launch its own Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass has received great reviews and success with users

Sony, realizing that it cannot give such an advantage to its direct competitor in the entertainment world, will launch a similar platform for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.

We review some of the key features this 'Card' will have on PS4 and PS5, and a possible official release date, amid huge enthusiasm from customers in Asia.

Just as Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass has garnered great reviews and success among users since it came to market, its direct competitor in the entertainment world, Sony, realizes that it cannot give it such an advantage for much longer.  That is why I will be working on launching a similar platform for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. Now, what do we know about the promising product?

Well, the first thing is that the latest rumors from sources like Bloomberg suggest that the Japanese company Sony will launch its own Xbox Game Pass, available in principle for PS4 and PS5 consoles, without ruling out that the alternative to PS1 and PS2 and PS3 appear on the scene,  It can be called "Spartacus".

What will Xbox Game Pass for PS4 and PS5 look like?

In addition to the potential names, the important thing is that according to these reports, Sony is planning a new subscription system that aims to compete with Microsoft's popular Xbox Game Pass.  This does not mean a final goodbye to PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, but it will complement them.

Continuing with the details of this mechanism, the existing services of Plus and Now can operate, to the extent that will allow unlocking the online multiplayer mode for many free games and titles each month, as Plus does;  While it will offer a section for moving games in the cloud, with games from previous versions available for Sony consoles, as now.

Other sources confirm that the new subscription will keep the PlayStation Plus name, although this is not entirely clear yet, and that there will be several levels of membership, each with its own characteristics and prices.  Unfortunately, access to PS1, PS2, and PS3 games may only be on the most expensive subscription.

There's also no exact news on the price of this new PlayStation Plus (or whatever its name is).  Although if we pay attention to the cost of Xbox Game Pass, which is 12.99 euros per month, we would not expect anything completely different.

As it descends, this service will be another factor to consider when choosing your next console, in case you haven't picked one yet, whether you're buying a PS5 or Xbox Series X.
