How to fix error code 429 Minecraft Realms PC

We are trying to play our favorite game as usual and suddenly we run into a problem.  How can we fix Minecraft Realms error code 429 on PC?  We'll tell you a little bit below.

Why am I getting a 429 Minecraft Reals error?

Error code 429 doesn't include any kind of message, so we don't have much idea what it's all about once it pops up.  What it means is "the request limit has been reached", which is a server issue.  This happens when too many requests are sent to a Minecraft server which, according to its security policy, is considered a DDoS attack.  It's possible that something wrong on our part is causing the issue with sending so many requests.

  Network change

If this problem appears more often than we would like, it is very likely that our network is on some kind of blacklist.  If this is the case, the only thing left is to change the network.  We can test the WiFi of a friend or neighbor, and create a mobile access point from the phone.  In the event that we do not have access to these options, what we can do is use a free VPN, although it may affect our Internet speed.  Although if we choose the server well in general, it will not affect the ping in the game.

  wait a while

Keep in mind that this error is caused by trying to connect too often.  So the logical solution is to wait a bit;  Wait until a few hours and then try again.

  Turn off automatic Java updates

If automatic updates are enabled, our system may constantly send requests so that we can check them.  This can only cause the problem, so let's disable it to confirm.

We click on "Start", type "Control Panel" and give "Enter".

Next, we will click on "Programs".

      Then we open "Java".

We go to the "Updates" tab and uncheck "Automatically check for updates".

We can see a popup with a Java Update warning, we will have to choose an option, which one will work.

  Clear Minecraft Cache

We will try to clear the cache of Minecraft, as in any program or application, a cache full of files can cause many problems.  It is recommended to do this now and then.  So we open Run with Windows + R and type %AppData%

Now we will delete the Minecraft folder and restart the computer.

  Reinstall Minecraft

As a last option we can simply uninstall and reinstall it.

We open configuration with Windows + i.

      Then we click on "Applications".

      Next, we look for Minecraft.

In Windows 11, we click on the three dots and then choose Uninstall.

In Windows 10, we select the game and click Uninstall.

Now we delete the Minecraft folder as we mentioned above, we download it again and install it again.
